5 Fun Firework Activities for Any Time of the Year

I know most people associate firecrackers with the 4th of July but kids love to see fireworks no matter the time of year!

We had some really fun ideas for easy crafts and activities shared on our Discover & Explore Patriotic Activities.

These five great fireworks crafts that can be adapted for any holiday by chaning the color combinations & completed all year round!

Crafts for Kids: Fireworks for any Holiday

Puffy Paint Fireworks

These adorable puffy paint fireworks from Enchanted Homeschooling Mom can be fun to make anytime of the year — try some for birthdays, first day of school or even use white paint on black paper for snowflake fireworks!

They also include an easy way to make your own puffy paint at home!

 Firecracker Art

Fireworks in a Bottle

Schooling at Play has two fun ways to make your own fireworks — glitter & glue for those sparkly pictures and also this great fireworks in a bottle craft that all kids would enjoy!  She’s also got some glow in the dark fireworks to explore too so head over and see them.

I think the bottle would make a great holiday craft item for kids by just changing the color of the items you include in it.

Water Gun Painting Fireworks

How about some fun painting watergun fireworks?!  How cool would the kids think you are, right!  JDaniel4’s Mom had a great idea for some make-your-own outdoor fireworks that she shares with us.

We also had two great firework science activities that were shared and each has a different ‘recipe’ for mixing up some firework fun!

Create Your Own Fireworks

Life with Moore Babies used a drip method to create these fun fireworks in a glass.  You could really create some spooky science by mixing purple and orange for Halloween.

Or start a new birthday tradition and let the kids choose their favorite colors to make some Birthday Fireworks!

Fireworks in a Jar

Gift of Curiosity used the mix & pour method for their fireworks in a jar.  I love the way the colors mix in this activity.  Try this as a Back to School celebration for the first day to kick off a great school year either at home or in the classroom.
