I do love the month of January.
Not because of the snow or any special occasions — it’s because the month brings us a chance to slow down and reflect on all the great times from the previous year.
Live is busy; we all know it can fly by too quickly. January offers us a time to think about all the wonderful memories and activities that we experienced.
And each January, I also go back through all of the posts we’ve shared to see which were the big hits — which ideas and activities were the ones that readers loved, read and shared with others.
We published 175 activities, book lists and travel ideas this year – whew! And I had quite a few favorites BUT I’ve teamed up with a group of my kid blogger friends and we all agreed that we would share our ONE best post from 2013.
One.
Has anyone ever asked you to choose the one best thing —
“Mom, what’s the best vacation we ever took as a family?”
“Mom, if you could only keep one of my drawings, which one would you keep?”
“What’s the best date you ever had with Dad?”
Yea, I’m not really good at choosing the ‘one best’ of things.
So, I actually left it up to you all, my wonderful readers 😉 Yep, I passed the buck to see which post was the most loved and read this year.
The post that was the “Best” of Edventures with Kids last year was …. (drum roll please)…
Great Websites for Free Read-Aloud & Read-to-Me Stories
I’ll admit, I was excited when I saw this was the most read post — because it’s a post about reading (something we love to encourage) and I also love passing along free resources like these!
Thanks for helping me choose this year! And now head over to visit all of my friends to see which ‘Best’ post they chose — I promise you’ll find some amazing ideas for 2014!
