I’m very excited to introduce a new series to the blog beginning next week!
I will be co-hosting Discover & Explore, a weekly themed linky with Shaunna from Fantastic Fun & Learning.
For Parents & Teachers
Each week, we will introduce a new topic that can be used to get kids excited to ‘discover & explore’ through books, crafts and activities around the specific theme. A ‘linky’ means that people from across the world will share fun ideas and activities so there will be some wonderful resources for you to use with your kids!
For Bloggers
We’d love for you to link up your amazing ideas each week! You are welcome to share new ideas, posts from your archives and even use the weekly themes to help you add new content to your blog calendar!
Feel free to share posts that highlight kids activities, crafts, booklists, food-related ideas, hands-on learning, lesson plans — any family-friendly activity that’s related to the weekly theme.
The linky will remain open for two weeks and we will be visiting all of your wonderful posts during that time. Each co-host will be choosing a few amazing ideas to highlight in a featured post and many of your great ideas will also be pinned to our Discover & Explore Pinterest Board too!
Weekly Themes
We’ve started a list of themes but would love to hear what topics you would like us to include in the linky. Here are the themes for the next few weeks:
April 10th – Butterflies
April 17th – Earth Day (earth-friendly activities)
April 24th – Gardening with Kids
May 1st – Stars, Moon & Nighttime Sky
May 8th – Flowers
May 15th – Enjoy a Day at the Park (nature & outdoor activities)
May 22nd – Art & Museum Fun
May 29th – Backyard Games
Next Week: Butterflies
Our first theme is butterflies – just in time for spring!
And we’d love your help to spread the word about the new linky too – please pin the post, grab a button and mark your calendar to visit us next Wednesday, April 10th to share all those great butterfly posts!
If you have any ideas for weekly topics or questions about the linky, please leave me a comment.
See you next Wednesday!
