Fall is a great time for apple crafts & activities.
Your kids will enjoy these hands-on activities as they explore more about apples — painting, playdough, taste tests and sensory fun!
Apple Crafts & Activities for Kids
Our first suggestion is to read a few awesome apple books with your kids! It’s a great way to introduce some science (like the lifecycle of an apple seed) and seasonal facts too.
Grab some fall paints and create beautiful Autumn Art with this great activity from Happy Hooligans. Apple prints are a fun way to combine the scents of the season with hands-on art.
For something that smells just like an apple, try this wonderful Apple Pie Playdough from Where Imagination Grows. You’ll also find a great apple book list here too!
Muchkin and Bean also has a great recipe for Fall-scented Playdoughs — apple, pumpkin and maple (yum!)! I know I promised apple fun but I just couldn’t resist these amazing creations.
And what’s fall without an apple tasting experiment — Munchkins & Moms has a fun Apple Tasting Picnic for some tasty family fun this week! Kids learn all types of things during this activity — not all apples taste or look the same, how apple textures fell different in your mouth and even the size of an apple varies.
You can find information about apple-picking and visits to a cider mill in our Apple Activities post too — both are great family fun in the fall and will encourage kids to learn more about apples!
Thanks to everyone who linked up at Discover & Explore. Make sure you stop by this week’s linky to see all the Pumpkin ideas & activities!
