If you have blocks, legos or anything that stacks in the house, I’m sure your child has tried to build something. Playing around with engineering ideas and principles helps kids to better understand the world around them and how things work (it’s an early introduction to the world of physics!)
We had the opportunity to review the Crafty Christmas crate from Kiwi Crate!

Kiwi Crate is a company that makes crafting with your kids easy and fun! You can purchase one crate or a monthly subscription and these cute, green boxes arrive in your mailbox (by the way, they are addressed to your kids so they should get to open them first 🙂
We had a mishap at our house this week – our youngest leaned on the soap holder while showering and ripped it (along with some tiles) off the wall! I realized that I have told my kids to rinse their hair really well, check the water before getting in, and step on the bathmat when getting out – but I never said anything about leaning on the soap holder.
So, I got to thinking about other things that kids should know that we may have forgotten to tell them – here are a few:
Our theme for this week is Owls!
Owls are amazing creatures and kids will enjoy learning about these beautiful birds. There are many different kinds of owls — snowy owl, burrowing, owl, great horned owl — it’s interesting to learn about what they have in common and how they differ.

Fall is the perfect time to head outdoors and enjoy the foliage, the weather and time with each other!
