We’re heading out for summer vacation soon and I asked my daughter what she wants to bring in her suitcase – her ‘very important items’ include a swimsuit, blankie & 32 books! So, as a parent, here’s where I jump up and down saying ‘Yea! She loves to read!” but the practical side of me says there’s no way we can pack that many books. Not to mention, she’s a voracious reader (finishes a book off faster than an ice cream cone!) so she’ll tear through those in the first few days of our trip and then need more.
If you’re still not sure what to get the kids (your kids, nieces, nephews or grandkids) this year, skip the electronics and go for a classic gift that will inspire them to be creative. Most of these ideas will also work as fun stocking stuffers!

My kids tell me I have been acting extra goofy this week.

So this week, we grabbed a few supplies and started working on our Summer Bucket List.
Each year, we make a great list of all the adventures we’d like to have and fun things we hope to do together (plus a few things to learn too because during the summer, learning is always fun!)
And this is what we came up with –
These everyday math activities are the perfect way to introduce hands-on math ideas to kids! Do you know today is? March 14th… 3/14… 3.14 Ring a bell at all? Ok, how about if you flash back to high school math class? Yes, that’s it — Today is Pi Day! And Pi Day is a great …
Enjoy these 20 easy Rainbow Crafts for Kids — perfect for Spring & St. Patrick’s Day! Nothing says “Spring” like the colors of the rainbow! Ideas for how to create memories with your kids this summer! Many of us are now ‘officially’ on summer break. For kids, it’s a time for popsicles, pool visits and unscheduled adventures!
